Arrival Mingle
Who: Everyone.
What: The Chosen return or arrival in the City.
When: July 1st.
Where: The Districts of the City.
Anything Else? Feel free to make your own arrivals, or throw an arrival starter here! The party is open to all. As a reminder, language barriers are not an issue in the Tower.
The City hadn't changed at all in its time without the chosen. If anything, The City seemed a little dusty. The Chosen would find themselves waking in their assigned homes. Even if they were returning and had other homes. They would wake in their chosen home. For the most part, anyway, a few chosen had special ways of arriving.
The assigned housing varied depending on the district they were assigned according to their sin. However, everyone had a box, a welcome package awaiting them upon waking. Inside the box was an extra invitation inviting them to the tower if they so decided to come visit upon arrival.
The city was once again bustling with life. Cars, demons, and the people of the City moving as if time had never stopped. Business as usual for the returning Chosen.
The Tower
While it was not Aiden's district, he had talked the Duchess into opening up the ballroom, and Skiffell to provide food, that just didn't seem to end. The grand ballroom was filled with many delectable dishes, and a small band of demons playing big band music in the corner.
The doors were propped open with the music drifting out to help lull the chosen who decided to attend. A handwritten poster board outside the open doors displaying 'Welcome Chosen!' with about 10 smiley faces drawn on it. While normally parties at the tower demanded fancy dress, Aiden throwing a party meant that rule would not be abided. He didn't dig out the fancy threads for anyone. This was a different kind of party, put together by the lord of Leisurebrook.
While Aiden didn't plan to reveal himself as a magistrate, he did love to mingle with people and hear their stories. So he was there. He was napping at a round table off in a corner, his messy brown hair spilled over his crossed arms as he napped as if he didn't have a care in the world.

The voice is going to be a familiar one to her, for better or for worse. He's still of the mind that she should have ended up with him and not Erik, but that was still (and forever would be) an opinion Caius would keep to himself. Perhaps in another world, during another time, they'd be able to have that. Each other.
When she turns around, Devi will be greeted with a handsome smile. God, she looks as amazing as she did. Maybe even more.
"Hey, gorgeous. Got a smile for me?"

Devi turns around and gives an undignified yelp of surprise, followed by "Caius!!"
Rushing to set the plate down so she can literally launch herself at Caius, she wraps her arms around his neck and squeezes tight. One of the three men she'd ever loved, things would never be really platonic between them. She was still figuring things out here, unsure if the man she married still remembered her, or wanted a relationship, but none of that did anything to diminish her feelings.
"Oh my god it's so good to see you," she breathes out. "Are you okay? I've missed you."
She wasn't normally this affectionate openly but it had been ages and ages and she wasn't going to let the opportunity pass up, hand settling on his cheek so she could pull back and plant a kiss on his closer cheek. Sorry not sorry. But her eyes were hungry for information to ease her subtle worry and danced over his face like she could assess it without his answer.

Caius holds her tight and breathes her all in, his smile stretching wide by the time she pulls back and looks at him. Her smile was amazing and everything about this reunion couldn't be any better than this. He sighs happily.
"I've missed you, to, Dev. So fucking much. You look fucking amazing."
He smiles at her, not ready to put her down quite yet. Devi was going to get a nuzzle against her cheek and a kiss, too. "Been here all of five hours and had to come and see who all came back."
After setting her back on her feet he grins.
"But yeah, I'm good. Still got my head." Which was a blessing given he was pretty sure he was as good as gone the last time he came through. Somehow, that was not the case. There was something in him telling him to keep fighting.

He sets her down and she struggles to know what to do with her hands, opting for the easiest option of her trench coat, keeping her million watt grin herself.
"Then everything is right in the world. I haven't gotten a full list of everyone we knew, but Kate's here and- Oh! OHM's still there! Impact too-" She was hungry for conversation with the energy of the over caffeinated, hungry for the company, hungry for an ease and a 'normalness' that she'd only ever found in the company of people she Loved.
"-I may have broken in, but I promise to help repair whatever needs repairing. There's work to be done, but thank fuck we're not starting all over again." It would have broken her heart more than a little, on more than a few levels. Devi was absolutely over the moon to be here on a base level and it showed.

Like her, he doesn't know exactly what to do with his hands so he shoves them into his pockets. One name he saw is one name she didn't mention, but he doesn't want to push whatever that could mean so he follows along, smiling, and taking in everything about her; her eyes, her voice, the splashes of colour on her hands. It's like nothing changed and no time was lost.
Caius shakes his head. "You don't need to do anything of the sort. Looks like there were a few attempts and a large number of bottles missing from the bar and the storage in the back. But we can sort it out later. Do you," he casts a glance around before bringing vivid blue eyes back to her. "Want to grab a table? Or is someone waiting for you?"
Not necessarily digging to see if there was, but not wanting to keep her if there was someone.
no subject
"Restock and clean up is easy," she says in way of agreement, smiling at his glancing around and not taking her eyes off him for it as her smile breaks into a grin.
"Let's grab a table. C'mon," she says, hooking her arm through his and tugging him to walk with her towards a free one. "You can tell me if you've been anywhere while you've been away. Where you landed, how things have been. I wanna know what I've missed."
