"...Yes." He could tell that was on purpose, but he let it slide.

Despite his manners, he rested his forearms on the table, leaning forward a little, watching her as she explained with a nod. "That explains the accent." It didn't bother him, like it might bother some.

It was his turn to shrug. "I'm shockingly not picky, so long as it's cheap. That 50 dollar starter isn't really much." He admitted, he'd be hitting the streets to look for a job tomorrow. "Whatever you order will be fine by me." He probably shouldn't trust her with it, but eh. New world, who cares?

Harley grinned when he said he was fine with whatever, and that grin should be enough to make him rethink giving her that much leeway ever again. She bounced from the chair and practically skipped over to the bar where she engaged the bartender in a very animated conversation. Lots of hand waving.

Eventually she comes back a couple of shot glasses, a pack of matches, and a green bottle. Absinthe. Cheap absinthe.

"You ever done backdraft shots before?"

He would learn. Oh, how he would learn. For now, she had full control of their drinks.

Though he did look confused at the items she brought back. Oh, this was going to be trouble. But when in an alien world? Why not roll with it. The first time, at least. "I have not, care to walk me through this?"

This was a bad idea, and yet...
