It was early morning, and Herbert had just gotten off of work and went to the café as was his tradition from before. He was surprised to not see Erik around, but maybe the man hadn't returned, or he was finally somewhere deserving of his skills. The new waitress taking his order as he sat quietly eating his eggs and reading over the city paper.

He could have gone home, Daniel wasn't there, as much as that hurt. And Megan probably wouldn't protest, but he was so stuck in his ways. He'd go home soon enough. For now, it was breakfast and looking for any information on what was going on with the city.
