What: Flour Power's grand re-opening. Everyone has been invited!
Where: The bakery is located in the Gardens of Pleasure.

Flour Power, while technically located in the Gardens of Pleasure, is located where the Tower and Leisurebrook districts meet. It is more than a decent location. The storefront is pretty. The building is brick and the entrance was out front with a double sets of French doors. Kate had thoughtfully hidden security gates that could be pulled closed behind potted trees and plants. There are even two little benches for those that wanted to enjoy their cupcakes outside.

The décor combines a light industrial flair combined with a dash or three of vintage charm. It is spotless too, as clean as it can possibly be for she has a thing about cleanliness. There is just enough decoration to keep it feeling homey but not enough for clutter.

Long, glass counters run down the length and side of the interior. They house all the various baked goods. Edison bulbs give the atmosphere a continued vintage feel. The seating area is comprised of mismatched but coordinated chairs and tables. Other than the cupcakes and treats, it is one of the few places that has a pop of color. The bathroom is unisex and accessible for everyone regardless of abilities. Kate had tried to be as thoughtful during the renovation as possible.

The kitchen, with it's vast array of ovens and equipment, is accessed by walking through the swinging doors labeled 'Employees Only'. Through their, one can take the stairs down to reach the basement floor. It is where Kate's office is as well as the employee break area and storage.

It has been a long road to getting Flour Power back open and ready for business. She's had lots of help in that regards and she can only hope that hers and everyone elses' hard work pays off for tonight.

Meet Kate - OTA

For the first part of the evening, Kate is going to be standing by the door to greet everyone that decides to visit. It's important to her that she shows them her gratitude by greeting people straight away. To further show her appreciation, she has a gift for each person. It is a bag of meringue cookies with a handwritten thank you note and a coupon for a free cupcake. It's how she intends to lure people back to her bakery. The first cupcake is free but then you have to pay.

"Hello. Thank you for coming." She offers a bag of cookies to the person that had just walked in. I'm glad you could make it.

Later, in the evening she can be found behind the counter restocking some of the baked items or chatting with people. This thing is going to go until she's out of food.

Once he had heard of the re-opening, Caius knew where he had to be. So, when he arrives at the bakery, he can see how much of a hit it is with the locals and the Chosen as well. There were more than a few familiar faces, and some that weren't, but that didn't mean much to the immortal. Not when he was looking to catch Kate's attention, something he fails at achieving. So, he decides to come back a little later.

Upon returning, he's relieved to see a few people inside so he heads in and sees her restocking.

"Hey, any chance you got some Florentine cannoli left?" he half shouts as soon as he's through the door.

"Caius! I'm so glad you could make it." She says from behind the counter where she's putting out new trays of brownies and blondies. Everything is selling well. There have been plenty of people by, enough so that Kate believes she'll have a successful business.

After unloading, she stands up properly and smiles at her friend. "I do. I'm about to put out a fresh batch. How many would you like?"

At some point or another, Damien meanders in with nothing better to do, if not outright interested. He ignores her immediately, save to take the bag of cookies, taking a quick look around, and as he returns his attentions to her, summons up a smile. It lasts only briefly before he asks, "I take it you were here before?"

He can't imagine someone arranging all of this in the whole month or so they've all been here. This can't be her first time in the City.

Kate isn't sure what to make of this encounter. He takes the bag of cookies but doesn't say anything to her immediately, not even a thank you. She watches him take a look around. She is still smiling because this is still a customer service job.

"I was," she nods her head. "For quite a while too. I take it this is your first multiversal kidnapping?"
